Interactively Explore Federal Government Spending with the Tax Project’s Government Explorer tool. Visually see and explore the budget by Agency, Budget Function, or Individual Objects. Search by Year, or Period, see how large or small spend is in any area, and understand if the budget is growing or shrinking. Filter the data to locate what you are looking for. The Tax Project’s Real Time National Debt Clock tool. Get all the context you need, see how big the Debt is currently, and compare that to our historical debt for perspective. You can also see if annual Fiscal budgets are adding to of subtracting from the Debt with our Surplus and Deficits view. See how much Debt we have accumulated per Citizen and per Tax Payer. See our Visualize the Debt with real world comparisons for how large the National Debt truly is.
Interest on Debt Clock
The Tax Project’s Real Time Interest being paid on the National Debt tool. See how much the US pays in Interest for our National Debt. Understand how that compares to other Government expenses, how it Crowds out other Services and what we could pay for instead of paying Interest. Visually Compare the amount of Interest the US Pays on Debt compared to the entire economies of other countries to understand the scope of the Interest payments.
DOGE Savings
The DOGE Savings app tool uses the DOGE API to provide detailed transaction level visibility of DOGE’s saving efforts. Understand which Contracts, Grants, and Leases are effected, the savings amount and what percentage of the overall value was saved. Search and Visualize the DOGE Savings data by Agency or Vendor. Get the detail and understand at a macro level where the Savings are coming from, and Geographically where the leases are being effected. Drill down into each transaction, including the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS) record details.
Fund Flow
Every year, citizens across the country in each state pay their taxes at the Federal, State, and Local Levels. Some of those taxes are redistributed from the Federal Government back to the States. The Tax Project Fund Flow app tool helps Visualize Funds Flowing from the States to the Federal Government and from the Federal Government to the States. Understand which States are contributing more or less to the Federal Government, and which states are benefitting the most, and the least.
